Having always been a Mike Hailwood and Agostini fan, the MV Agusta was the logical choice for me. We race a fairly standard 2006 model F4 1000R with only minor modifications, switches come from STM and I make my own wiring harness. Due to budget restraints we run near stock suspension (Mupo, Nitron and Andreani off the shelf parts), stock motor with only the addition of a STM slipper clutch. Biggest improvements toward reliability is the addition of a custom made rear hub, from The Hub Man, Mitch. Master cylinders are Brembo RCS models with standard Brembo Goldline calipers, rearsets and handlebars come from PP Tuning via Design Corse. We now use Penrite oil and Hi-Flo or Purolator oil filters keep the insides clean, as well as Penrite brake fluid and Fork oil. I threw out the bottom radiator and replaced it with an oil cooler, Design Corse waterpump and Catalyst Racing Composites bodywork to improve cooling. I have added a MV race ECU and a set of Bodis Ti slip-on pipes to help smooth power delivery with MWR air filter, converting our final drive to 520pitch. |
